Tasting Plate Dinner!

Noah got fancy here (via Tara), and we did tasting plates in pairs. Tips: the plate must be relatively self-sufficient and balanced. Each pair had up to 30 mins in the kitchen to prep and plate their dish. And it was a contest! Drink pairings encouraged.

We had cioppino, quiche and greens, salad with cherries and cheese, country shredded pork over polenta and greens, striped bass with rice, cookies and flourless chocolate cake. Really upped the level here. Good stuff. Flora's cake took top prize!

Colorfest!

January 09. A new year. Time to get funky y'all, the theme was colors! No fake coloring allowed (Dani...). Lauren and Barman hosted this extravaganza, which brought back the competitive spirit, with extra-special medals. There was roasted pumpkin and cheese mess, gorgonzola gnocchi, white pizza, blueberry bread, banana bread, mole, plantains, carrot stuff, nutty brussel sprouts, and more...

Pie Contest!

It all started here. April 15th, Noah's place. There were empanadas, grasshoppa pie, taco pie, greek pie, quiche, pecan pie, and many more... Recipes to come, whenever people send them in...

This contest was scored, and people won ribbons, which was cool.
